Towel Warmers

Heard about towel warmers? This material is actually one of the latest innovations in today’s modern society. It is valued in the market today and is rapidly considered as an essential addition to any bathroom installation. Well, just like the rest of the bathroom equipments and accessories out there, a towel warmer is made available in a variety of forms. With this, finding the right unit can be a bit puzzling for you beginners.

Now, want to get the right towel warmers? Wondering what types are available on the market today? There are actually three forms of warmers depending on the heating supply they feature. These include the following:

System Fed Warmers – Noted by this name, the units belonging to this are generally fueled by the water central heating mechanism. The heat that warms the towels is supplied in two notable ways: closed or open circuits. Of these two supplies, the former is the most known.

In the closed circuit warming mechanism, the system fed towel warmers generally contain a radiator that is placed on the boiler’s heating system. This system functions to circulate hot water to every radiator present in the house. The circulation is safe though since the system itself is protected by an agent that is naturally anti-corrosive. And, perhaps what’s nice to know about the system fed warmers is that they occupy almost all types of radiators without creating any negative effect.

On the other hand, the open circuit mechanism contains a radiator that is placed on the domestic water feed, so-called because it has not protection from corrosion. It is for this reason basically that not all types of radiators fit to the system well. Another drawback of this circuit form is that many of the manufacturers don’t offer radiators for open circuits. Thus, you will need to do a lot of search first before you can obtain the right unit.

Electrically Powered Warmers – As the name implies, the electric towel warmers employ only radiators that are electrically powered. The radiators you can find for this option are often sealed with an electric element that is factory built. With that, it is highly suggested that radiators of this type should only be installed by a professional skilled technician. Once installed properly, the element will supply power to the unit’s fitter and to the volume required for the radiator to produce the heat that the towel needs to warm.

Dual Fuel Warmers – Many manufacturers have realized how easy and quick the towels would warm when placed in a heater or warmer that combines the best of both worlds: system fed and electric. With that, the dual fuel warmers were created containing radiators that functions in both system fed and electric power. However, the power mechanism involved here is so powerful that the warmer should be handled with extra caution. It takes it power supply primarily from a closed circuit system that is backed up by an electrical element the moment the central heating system is turned off. The main problem of this option though is that when the element is turned off, the water supply circulating in the system will tend to drain in the radiator, which in turn will cause the towel warmer power to weaken. This can be solved though by immersing the electric element in water.

All of the above mentioned types of towel warmers are offered today by a number of home furniture stores and outlets anywhere in the world. They come with simple and sophisticated designs, containing a towel warming bar that holds towels in place. When looking for one, consider the level of functionality that the unit offers, as well as the variety of other features it carries. Look for units that are anti-corrosive.
